Sharon has used her 25 years experience as a mother, doula and childbirth educator to cerate her award winning content for our Childbirth Essentials Classes. She has utilized all of her most important and useful knowledge base about pregnancy, birth and parenting. She has incorporate all her favourite parts from the many courses, workshops, research and training’s she has taken over these many years with Lamaze, Birthing From Within, Yoga Birthing, Penny Simkin, Ina May Gaskin, CAPPA, AHS, Douglas College, DONA and more.

Childbirth Essentials 7+1
These are Calgary Birth Essentials most comprehensive prenatal classes where you will get all you need to best prepare for your birth and early parenting journey.
Calgary Birth Essentials 7+1 Week Childbirth Essentials prenatal class includes our Breastfeeding Essentials class and our Early Parenting Essentials class. We will be educating you with the knowledge you need to go through your pregnancy, birth and parenting journey empowered and confidently. We save our 8th class for when all the babies are born, making it a fun reunion class.
We have 3 locations that we teach from, Doctor For Moms in the North, the Aurora Midwifery Clinic in the South, and now The Sagestone Spa in Strathmore!
These classes are $355 per couple +GST
Childbirth Essentials 4+1
These are Calgary Birth Essentials most comprehensive prenatal classes where you will get all you need to best prepare for your birth and early parenting journey.

Weekend Essentials
These are Calgary Birth Essentials prenatal classes for those whose schedules make it impossible to commit to a weekly class but still want to get the best information they can to prepare for birth.
This Weekend Prenatal class gives you the Essentials you need about pregnancy, labour and childbirth, newborn care and early parenting that our weekly Childbirth Essentials offers, but packed into a 2 day format for those who can’t make the weekly class schedule work for them.
We have 3 locations that we teach from, Doctor For Moms n the North, the Aurora Midwifery Clinic in the South, and now the Sagestone Spa in Strathemore!
These classes are $315 per couple +GST
Early Parenting Essentials
Most parents feel overwhelmed and confused once labour and delivery is done and now they are left alone to the daunting task of being a parent. Help ease the pain of adjustment to parenting and learn what to expect and what to do in this excellent early parenting class geared for expecting parents. We will walk you through many of the things you should know for the first year of life.
We have 2 locations we teach out of, Doctor For Moms in the North, the Aurora Midwifery Clinic in the South.
These classes are $40 per couple +GST
Breastfeeding Essentials
There really is an art to breastfeeding, it takes practice and perseverance. Many women struggle through the navigation’s of breastfeeding their baby. Come to our two and a half hour Breastfeeding Essentials class where our lactation consultant will give you all the essentials to be equipped to get off to the best start possible.

Private In-Home Childbirth Essentials
Private in-home childbirth essentials prenatal classes are ideal for those that have a demanding schedule and do not have the flexibility to attend 8 weeks of classes. Our educators will come to you and give you all the basics that you need to birth and parent with confidence. You may enjoy the set structure for each session or you may customize with topics you are interested in discussing.
Mommy Connections
This is an ongoing group that supports new moms in the first 6 months of being a new parent. Each session consists of 8 weeks of meetings. A minimum of 5 mommies are needed to create a group to support one another effectively. We would meet every Monday from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm except for holidays, the classes are an hour and a half.
